We believe these rare pieces of urban nature can become more than land that survives development. It can become a place that stays wild, serves the community, and gives future generations a reason to care about what grows right outside their door.

THE VISION
Protect what is here. Create what is missing.
Our latest and most urgent conservation project is a hidden gem just 10 minutes south of Uptown Charlotte, right here, in our Cotswold neighborhood. 9.24 acres of serene forest – a sanctuary of winding creek corridors, walking trails, established tree canopy, and vibrant wildlife whose future is still being decided. This land is precious. Once it is gone, it is lost for good.
Our vision is to ensure that this forest remains protected, wild, and accessible, serving as an ecological campus for our neighbors to enjoy and for our children to learn from and experience for generations to come.

THE FIRST CHAPTER
EARLY LEARNING STUDIO
The Cotswold Early Learning Studio is the beginning of our vision to bring nature-rooted education to the heart of Charlotte. Our Reggio-based, outdoor early learning studio will allow children to grow alongside the forest, developing a deep, lifelong bond with the living world through nature play and discovery-based learning. We believe that childhood should be filled with wonder, curiosity, and meaningful stewardship.
Our campus is the forest. The trees are the teachers, the creeks and trails are the classrooms, and every fallen leaf or unturned rock is an invitation to explore. This will be more than a school; it is the first chapter of a place for our children to learn from Mother Nature.
